Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has urged President Bola Tinubu’s administration to be transparent about Nigeria’s situation following reports that the President plans to travel to Saudi Arabia to pray for the country.
Makinde said prayers could be answered within Nigeria, stressing that Nigerians needed accurate information about the state of the nation to understand the challenges facing the country.
The governor made the remarks in response to reports of Tinubu’s planned trip, calling on the administration to provide an honest account of the country’s circumstances.
“I read on social media that President Bola Tinubu is travelling to Saudi Arabia to pray for Nigeria. Prayers are answered even in this country. They should tell us the exact true situation of things so that our prayers won’t be in vain,” Makinde said.

His comments highlight the importance of transparency and clear communication from the government as Nigerians continue to seek solutions to the country’s economic and security challenges.
Makinde’s remarks also underscore the need for the government to keep citizens informed about national issues and the measures being taken to address them.
