Super Eagles forward Paul Onuachu has won the Turkish Süper Lig Golden Boot for the 2025/2026 season.
The Trabzonspor striker shared the award with Eldor Shomurodov after both players scored 22 league goals.
Onuachu featured in 30 league matches to reach the tally and also provided two assists in an impressive campaign.
Shomurodov, who plays for Istanbul Başakşehir, secured his share of the award after scoring in his final league match against Gaziantep FK.
Fenerbahçe’s Anderson Talisca finished close behind with 19 goals.

The award makes Onuachu the sixth Trabzonspor player to claim the Süper Lig top scorer honour.
His compatriot Victor Osimhen won the award last season after scoring 26 goals in 30 matches, although he managed 15 goals in 22 league appearances this term.
The Super Eagles praised Onuachu on social media, describing his 22-goal haul as a strong and dominant performance in Turkey.
In other news, Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye won Udinese’s Player of the Month award for May 2026 after keeping two clean sheets in three matches.
Okoye now has 10 clean sheets in 29 Serie A games this season and has also been shortlisted for the league’s monthly award.
Both players are expected to represent Nigeria at the upcoming Unity Cup in the United Kingdom, scheduled for later this month at Charlton Athletic’s The Valley Stadium in London.
