A 35-year-old Florida woman, Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, was charged on Tuesday with attempted murder following a brazen daylight shooting at the luxury Los Angeles estate of global superstar Rihanna.
Prosecutors allege that Ortiz opened fire on the property this past Sunday using an AR-15-style assault rifle.
Aerial footage from the scene revealed multiple bullet holes in the home’s security gate; Rihanna was reportedly inside the residence at the time of the attack.
In addition to the attempted murder charge, Ortiz faces 10 counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and several charges related to shooting at inhabited dwellings and vehicles.

A judge set her bail at $1.875 million and issued a strict “no-contact” order protecting the singer.
This legal action follows reports that Ortiz has a history of mental health struggles, including a prior involuntary commitment and the loss of child custody.
Social media activity linked to Ortiz suggests a long-standing fixation on various celebrities, including Kim Kardashian and Cardi B.
In several erratic posts and videos, she specifically targeted Rihanna, alternating between challenging the singer to a confrontation and claiming the pop icon was plotting to kill her.
Ortiz is scheduled to remain in custody until her next court appearance on March 25.
