Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara on Saturday pledged that the state would deliver at least three million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Fubara said his administration would mobilise voters across the state to secure Tinubu’s re-election.

“We promise that under your guidance and direction, under the guidance and direction of our leader, the coordinator of the presidential campaign council for Rivers State, the Honourable Minister, we will campaign, mobilise our people to secure and deliver a decisive victory with a vote not less than three million for Mr President,” he said at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign rally in Port Harcourt.

Fubara thanked Tinubu for intervening in the political crisis in Rivers State, saying the president’s involvement had helped restore peace and allowed his administration to continue its work.

He said Tinubu had acted “as a father, and as a true statesman” when the state faced intense political uncertainty.

“Today, by the mercy of God Almighty and your fatherly intervention, Rivers State is peaceful,” Fubara said, thanking the president for his support.

The governor also praised Tinubu for appointing more than 40 people from Rivers State into federal positions, including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, whom he described as a leader.

Fubara, also announced that the state would maintain a “Rainbow Coalition” involving the APC and the PDP, adding that the coalition’s candidates would be delivered in January 2027.

He said Rivers State would reciprocate Tinubu’s support with votes, loyalty and mobilisation ahead of the presidential election.
