Self-Acclaimed IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu Re-Arrested, Extradited to Nigeria

NewsCentral can confirm that the Federal Government of Nigeria has arrested the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

This was confirmed by Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), who made the disclosure to journalists on Tuesday.

Malami further revealed that the acclaimed IPOB leader was arrested and brought into Abuja, Nigeria by the collaborative effort between security agencies in Nigeria and Interpol.

In 2017, The IPOB leader had fled the country after a Federal High Court in Abuja granted him bail on health grounds, and was had barred from granting press interview while on bail.

Kanu is facing charges bordering on treasonable felony filed against him at the federal high court in Abuja.
