Nigeria’s Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, has said President Bola Tinubu will resolve Nigeria’s insecurity challenges within four years if given another mandate, while praising his leadership and support for the South-East.

Umahi made the declaration on Saturday during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election at Umunaga Ward in Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, where 5,009 party members reportedly voted for Tinubu as the party’s candidate for the 2027 election.

He described Ebonyi State as fully loyal to the APC, saying there was no opposition party presence in his local government.

“Ebonyi State is totally APC. We are only APC,” he said.

The minister also praised Tinubu’s appointments and infrastructure projects in the South-East, saying they show inclusiveness in national governance.

“Bola Tinubu is the Biafra we have been looking for. A man who has integrated the entire South-East, given us juicy appointments and very important infrastructure. I laugh when people talk about the hardship caused by the reforms. Nobody has been able to say where Nigeria would have been without them,” Umahi said.

He defended the administration’s economic reforms, saying they had stabilised the economy and that Nigerians would soon begin to feel the benefits.

“The macroeconomy is stable, and the President is now taking it down to the microeconomy. The worst is over,” he added.
