APC Reopens Electronic Membership Registration Exercise

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that it will reopen its nationwide electronic membership registration exercise on Monday, August 31, 2026.

APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, announced this in a statement issued on Tuesday, inviting existing members, supporters and prospective members to participate in the exercise.

According to the APC, the registration will be conducted across all wards nationwide, with existing members expected to validate their membership records while new and intending members can register to join the party.

The party said the exercise is part of efforts to modernise and strengthen its membership database.

“The E-Registration Exercise is designed to digitise the Party’s membership register, ensure the integrity of membership records, enhance efficient access to membership data for planning and management decisions, promote internal democracy, and strengthen the Party’s commitment to democratic innovation in Nigeria,” the statement said.

The APC urged “all Party stakeholders, supporters and members, old and new” to participate in the exercise.

Existing members must validate their membership, while those seeking to join the party are encouraged to register through the electronic platform.

The party also outlined eligibility requirements for prospective registrants.

“Registrants must be 18 years or older and possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN),” Morka said.

The reopening comes as political parties begin preparations for the 2027 elections, with membership mobilisation and internal organisation expected to play a key role ahead of party activities and the electoral cycle.

The APC said the digital registration system would provide a more reliable membership database and improve the party’s ability to access and manage membership information.
