President Bola Tinubu chaired a Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday at the State House, marking his first cabinet session since June 29.
The meeting, which began at 2:30 pm, brought together top government officials, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; the Head of the Civil Service, Didi Walson-Jack; the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; and the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Council members observed a minute of silence to honour two former ministers: Abubakar Alhaji, who served as finance minister under the Ibrahim Babangida administration and died on July 30, and Professor Turner Isoun, former Science and Technology minister under Olusegun Obasanjo, who died on July 15.

The cabinet meeting on Wednesday is the first one in almost seven weeks.
The previous FEC meeting, held on June 29, also followed a hiatus of more than two months.
Tinubu swore in two new National Commissioners for the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation, and Fiscal Commission at that June meeting: Abdullahi Mukhtar from Kaduna State and Amina Gamawa from Bauchi State.
