Ukraine expanded its international military partnerships Tuesday by signing custom drone production agreements with Estonia, the Netherlands, and Denmark.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the deals during a NATO summit in Ankara, Türkiye, emphasising that the agreements allow Kyiv to trade its battlefield-proven drone technology blueprints for royalties, foreign investment, and critical military hardware.

This move capitalises on the extensive drone warfare expertise Ukraine has developed since Russia’s invasion in 2022.
The new partnerships open fresh opportunities for joint manufacturing, the development of innovative defence technologies, and a systematic exchange of expertise.
These three European nations join six other countries, including Lithuania, Latvia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, that have already formed similar drone alliances with Kyiv.
Zelensky also indicated plans to finalise future agreements with Germany, Norway, Finland, and Canada as both sides continue to deploy thousands of drones across the front lines.
