FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has urged residents of Karu to reciprocate President Bola Tinubu’s infrastructure projects with political support, saying “one good turn deserves another.”

Speaking on Monday at the commissioning of the Karu Water Supply Network in Abuja, Wike highlighted ongoing road and water projects in the community and urged residents to remember the administration’s efforts when it comes time to vote.

“Today, you are getting water in Karu. Today, you are getting roads in Karu, I hope, like our people say, one good turn deserves another,” Wike said.

The minister also praised Tinubu for bringing development to the fast-growing community, noting that previous administrations had not delivered similar projects there.

Wike revealed that the President will soon return to Karu to commission several road projects completed in the area as part of activities marking his third year in office.

“Mr. President, I do know that it is not only this water supply in Karu that you will be commissioning this year’s third anniversary.”

“I’m sure either on the 26th or 29th of this month, you will also come back to Karu and commission virtually all the roads within Karu, which you have made the people of Karu to be happy with,” Wike said.

Addressing residents and political leaders present at the event, the minister said, “If you do for me, I do for you. If you fall for me, I fall for you.”

“Now that the Renewed Hope has come and I’ve done for you and I’ve fallen for you, I hope Karu community at the appropriate time will also fall for us,” he added.

The minister went further to praise Tinubu’s focus on community development, saying the projects demonstrate the administration’s commitment to improving residents’ welfare.
