Fifteen bodies have been recovered from Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe after a passenger ferry capsized on Tuesday, while at least 27 people, including young children, remain missing.
Initial police reports stated that the boat carried 90 passengers and five crew members when it sank, though official casualty and rescue counts were not immediately provided.
State media reports indicate the passenger count may have been significantly higher, as a local official revealed that operators issued 114 tickets for the ill-fated journey.

Authorities have not yet responded to requests for updated information as search and rescue operations continue.
