Intense Clashes Erupt Between Sudan Army and RSF Near Capital

Violent confrontations have broken out in Bahri, Sudan, pitting the army against the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Bahri, also referred to as Khartoum North, constitutes one of the interconnected cities forming the capital region.

According to reports, the army successfully thwarted a significant offensive launched by the RSF against a military installation on Saturday.

Amidst the intensifying conflict, the United Nations issued an urgent appeal to both factions, urging them to permit the delivery of humanitarian aid to stave off a looming hunger crisis described as catastrophic.
