His Excellency President Cyril Ramaphosa welcomed His Royal Highness Prince William, the Prince of Wales, at Genadendal, the official residence of the President in Cape Town, on Tuesday.
Prince William is in South Africa to host the 4th Annual Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony, scheduled for November 6, 2024. During his visit, he took a nature walk with rangers and conservationists at Table Mountain National Park.
The Prince’s four-day trip includes not only the Earthshot Prize ceremony on Wednesday but also attendance at a global wildlife summit and various climate-focused engagements.
The Earthshot Prize aims to highlight the effects of climate change, environmental degradation, and pollution, while also showcasing the innovative solutions being developed by individuals and communities around the world.
