Donald Trump warned Tuesday to increase tariffs on Canadian goods even more to match Ottawa’s retaliation, hours after imposing a 25 per cent duty on all imports from the northern neighbour of the United States.
“Please explain to Governor Trudeau, of Canada, that when he puts on a Retaliatory Tariff on the U.S., our Reciprocal Tariff will immediately increase by a like amount!”
Trump stated in a post on his Truth Social platform following the announcement of 25% tariffs on US imports by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in retaliation.
