The nominations for the 2026 Grammy Awards have been officially announced, setting the stage for music’s biggest night.
Rapper Kendrick Lamar emerged as the leading contender, securing an impressive total of nine nominations, including nods in the highly coveted Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year categories.
This year’s list of top nominees also recognised major artists such as Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, and Sabrina Carpenter, who all received multiple key nominations.
The announcement was marked by several historic achievements that signify evolving recognition within the recording industry.
Bad Bunny made Grammy history by becoming the first Spanish-language artist to receive simultaneous nominations in all three of the major general field categories (Album, Record, and Song of the Year) for his track “Debí Tirar Más Fotos.”
In the production and songwriting realm, Jack Antonoff also secured a milestone, becoming the first producer/songwriter to earn nominations in all three major categories with two different artists in the same year, highlighting his extensive creative contributions.
Furthermore, the K-pop genre garnered notable success, underscoring its growing global influence. This was highlighted by singer Rosé and Bruno Mars’ popular collaboration, “APT..,” which secured nominations for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
Adding to the genre’s visibility, the track “Golden,” featured in the film Kpop Demon Hunters, also received multiple nominations.
The 69th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony, which recognises music released between August 31, 2024, and August 30, 2025, will reveal the winners during a live broadcast.

The event is scheduled to take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, February 1.
