Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen voiced strong confidence, asserting the team is fully prepared to clinch the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title in Morocco.
Nigeria last lifted the continental trophy 13 years ago. Éric Chelle’s team came close to securing a fourth crown at the previous tournament but fell 2–1 to hosts Côte d’Ivoire in the final.
Osimhen said the squad is resolute in its ambition to go one better and emerge champions this time.

He told ESPN that winning the trophy would mean a great deal to the entire team and to Nigeria, stressing that the players remind themselves at every training session that their mission is to claim the title.
The striker added that he shares the same hunger as his teammates and other competing nations, noting that their unity and determination drive their pursuit of success.
The Super Eagles will face Mozambique’s Mambas in the Round of 16 in Fès next Monday.
