Troops of the Joint Task Force, Operation HADIN KAI, have stepped up operations against Boko Haram in Adamawa and Borno states, arresting suspected collaborators, killing insurgents and recovering weapons and drones allegedly used in attacks on security forces.
In a statement issued on Friday by the Media Information Officer of Operation HADIN KAI, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, the military disclosed that troops of Sector 4 under the 28 Task Force Brigade arrested a 28-year-old suspected logistics supplier, Ismail Muhammed, in the Visik General area of Hong Local Government Area, Adamawa State.
According to the statement, items recovered from the suspect included an AK-47 magazine, 7.62mm ammunition, military gear and assorted food supplies. The military said the suspect remains in custody and is undergoing further investigation.

In another operation in Madagali Local Government Area, troops reportedly ambushed and killed a suspected terrorist commander identified as Abdullahi Mafa along the Visik River line. The statement noted that an AK-47 rifle and a loaded magazine were recovered during the encounter.
Acting on intelligence, troops also apprehended 64-year-old Dauda Usman Gubula, who was described as a collaborator accused of supplying drones to insurgents.
The military said the drones were modified locally and deployed in attacks against troops. Recovered items allegedly included two drones, related accessories and 20 solar power banks.
In Borno State, troops working with local vigilantes and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force reportedly repelled insurgent activity in Ngamdu and killed a suspected informant who attempted to breach defensive positions. Logistics materials were also said to have been seized.
The military said the operations are part of ongoing efforts to cut off Boko Haram’s supply chains, enhance security and safeguard communities in the North-East.
