Nigerian Embassy Urges Vigilance in Kuwait, Bahrain

The Nigerian Embassy in Kuwait has urged Nigerians in Kuwait and Bahrain to remain vigilant, saying that it is closely monitoring unfolding developments in both countries.

Kuwait and Bahrain are among the Gulf countries targeted by Iran’s “reprisal” attacks after the United States and Iran launched strikes against it on Saturday.

“Inview of the prevailing circumstances in the region, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the State of Kuwait with concurrent accreditation to the Kingdom of Bahrain, wishes to advice all Nigerian nationals in both countries to remian vigilant, observe safety guidelines, advisories in the host (official) governments, and remain calm at all times,” the embassy wrote in a statement.

It also encouraged Nigerians to monitor local news and official announcements from the Kuwaiti and Bahraini governments, adding that a dedicated mobile/WhatsApp has been created to ensure active communication with all Nigerian nationals in both countries.
