The governor described the primary as peaceful, transparent, and orderly, adding that it was “a true reflection of the unity and internal democratic strength” of the Ogun State chapter of the APC.

He also commended party members, leaders, stakeholders, electoral officials, and security agencies for “their commitment to ensuring a successful process” across the state.

He further congratulated the senator on his victory.

“We warmly congratulate Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi on his emergence and reaffirm our collective commitment to the continued progress, stability, and development of Ogun State under the banner of our great party,” Abiodun added.

Abiodun’s second term in office will elapse in 2027, after which a new governor will be elected and inaugurated to succeed him.
