Spanish side, Real Madrid Football Club, have completed the signing of Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan on a four-year contract, the Spanish club announced on Sunday. Madrid said Dumfries would remain at the club until June 30, 2030.
“(We) have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Denzel Dumfries, who will be with our club for the next four seasons, until June 30, 2030,” said Madrid in a statement.
Although the transfer fee was not disclosed, reports estimate the deal at around €20 million ($23 million).
The 30-year-old right-back joins after representing the Netherlands national football team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where the Dutch were eliminated in the Round of 32 by Morocco in a penalty shootout.

Dumfries adds further competition at right-back alongside England international Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The Dutchman joined Inter Milan from PSV Eindhoven in 2021, won two Serie A titles, and has twice finished as a Champions League runner-up with the Italian side.
He becomes Real Madrid’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window, following the arrivals of Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva and Ibrahima Konaté.
Madrid are rebuilding their squad under new head coach José Mourinho, who replaced Álvaro Arbeloa after the club ended a second consecutive season without winning a major trophy.
The Spanish giants have also extended the contract of defender Antonio Rüdiger until 2027 following the departures of Dani Carvajal and David Alaba at the end of last season.
