The reconstructed Arab–Gbazango Road in Kubwa has been commissioned, with House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas saying the project will improve transport, reduce crime and boost business activities in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Speaking during the commissioning of the road on Friday, on the 28th Day of the FCT Infrastructure Projects Commissioning in Bwari Area Council, Abbas said the new road would make daily movement easier for residents.
“This newly constructed road will not only shorten commuting times for workers, it will also drastically ease traffic congestion along the busy Kubwa axis,” he said.
He explained that the road also provides a safer connection to the Outer Northern Expressway and nearby communities.

According to the Speaker, the project will support economic growth by making it easier for businesses, farmers and emergency workers to move around.
“When the roads are built to this standard, businesses will experience higher patronage, farmers can move goods freely, and emergency services can respond rapidly to save lives,” he added.
Tajudeen also noted that improved roads help reduce crime by making communities safer. He also praised the contractors for delivering what he described as a high-quality project.
“I commend the contractors of this particular project for the quality work, professionalism, and commitment to excellence. You have delivered a road that is built to last and one that will serve generations to come,” Abbas said.
