A 40-foot container truck has crashed into road barriers and other vehicles at the Kara Bridge exit on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) disclosed the incident in a post on its X handle on Tuesday.
The truck reportedly suffered brake failure before hitting the demarcation blocks and other vehicles.
LASTMA said the crash has caused a traffic backlog extending to New Garage.

It added that recovery and evacuation efforts have started.
The agency also said another crash occurred on Kara Bridge inward Mowe.
A loaded trailer reportedly collided with a Sports Utility Vehicle in the second incident.

LASTMA said officers and police personnel have been deployed to manage traffic and clear the affected vehicles.
“Officers and police personnel are on the ground doing the needful,” the agency said.
The agency urged motorists to remain patient while efforts continue to restore normal traffic flow.
“We implore motorists to be patient as all hands are on deck to ensure all impediments are cleared off the road,” it said.
