Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of three new members to the state Advisory Council chaired by legal expert, Chief Bolaji Ayorinde.
The governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju, disclosed this in Ibadan, the state capital, on Friday.
The newly appointed council members are Abu Salami, Ezekiel Oyedepo and Lydia Bankole.
According to Olarenwaju, the governor also approved other appointments and redeployments across the state government.
He said, “In addition, according to appointment letters issued by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, Hon. Adekunle Bankole has been named Chairman of the state Hospitals Management Board. Similarly, three officials have been reassigned to new roles.
“Mrs Adeboyin Oladokun, formerly a member of the state Housing Corporation, is now the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Diaspora Matters.
“Abiodun Oluwaseun, previously Senior Special Assistant on Project Delivery, has been appointed Chairman of the state Project Performance Monitoring Agency, replacing Engr Muftau Salawu, the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Allied People’s Movement.
“Ajao Ibrahim Akinsanmi, who formerly served on the board of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, has been appointed a member of the state Housing Corporation.”
Olarenwaju added that all the appointments would take effect from Friday, September 18, 2026.
Makinde congratulated the appointees and urged them to carry out their responsibilities with loyalty, commitment and dedication to the service of Oyo State.
