The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the final list of presidential candidates for Nigeria’s 2027 general election, among whom are five contenders aged between 35 and 48.
INEC‘s list contains 18 presidential candidates sponsored by different political parties. Sixteen of the candidates are men, while two are women. The candidates are aged between 35 and 79.
Moses Olusoji Adebisi of the Democratic Leadership Alliance is the youngest presidential candidate at 35.
He is followed by Labour Party candidate Sunday Chibuzo Okereke and National Rescue Movement candidate Nkem Esther Okereke, who are both 43.
Action Democratic Party candidate Abbas-Bin Aliyu is 44, while National Democratic Party candidate Ada Elizabeth Fredrick Okwori is 48.
The five youngest presidential candidates listed by INEC are:
1. Moses Olusoji Adebisi — 35 years

Adebisi is the youngest presidential candidate on INEC’s final list. He is representing the Democratic Leadership Alliance, with Nafisat Usaku Abubakar listed as his running mate.
2. Sunday Chibuzo Okereke — 43 years

Okereke, 43, is the Labour Party presidential candidate. Hajja Bintu Konto is listed as his running mate.
3. Nkem Esther Okereke — 43 years

Nkem Esther Okereke, also 43, is the presidential candidate of the National Rescue Movement. She is one of the two women on INEC’s final list of presidential candidates.
4. Abbas-Bin Aliyu — 44 years

Aliyu Abbas-Bin, 44, is the Action Democratic Party’s presidential candidate. Chinazam Ike is listed as his running mate.
5. Ada Elizabeth Fredrick Okwori — 48 years

Ada Elizabeth Fredrick Okwori, 48, is the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Party. Uchenna Anthony Chukwuemeka is listed as her running mate.
Okwori is the second woman on INEC’s presidential candidate list alongside Nkem Esther Okereke.
