The United States (US) military has killed four people in a strike on a vessel in the Caribbean.
According to Reuters, the US Southern Command announced the strike on Saturday.
The military said the vessel was involved in drug trafficking.
“Confirmed intelligence revealed the vessel’s active involvement in narco-trafficking,” the command said.
The strike is the latest in a US campaign targeting what the Trump administration calls “narco-terrorists.”
The campaign has targeted vessels in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific.
Since it began, US strikes have killed more than 220 people, according to available figures.
Saturday’s strike came 10 days after another attack in the Caribbean.
The US military said that strike killed three people.

Rights groups have criticised the campaign and described the attacks as “extrajudicial killings.”
The US military has continued to defend the operations as part of efforts to disrupt drug trafficking.
The latest strike is expected to renew debate over the US campaign’s legal basis and civilian risks.
