Six people died, and two others suffered injuries on Saturday when a truck collided with a commercial vehicle along the Kabba–Odo-Ape Road in Kogi State.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Kogi State Sector Commander, Lawal Fagge, confirmed the casualty figures during a telephone interview with News Central TV on Sunday.
After the collision, residents from Odo-Ape rushed to the scene to help rescue trapped passengers.

At the same time, emergency responders deposited the bodies of the deceased at the General Hospital mortuary in Kabba.
Sector Commander Fagge attributed the violent crash to excessive speeding and urged drivers to abandon dangerous road habits.
The tragic collision has reignited public concern over safety along the Kabba–Odo-Ape corridor, prompting transportation authorities to repeat warnings for motorists to observe speed limits and obey traffic regulations.
