The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 36-year-old man, Muyideen Olatunbosun, suspected to be a member of a cult group, during an intelligence-led anti-crime patrol in Ikorodu.
The suspect was arrested along the Idi-Iroko, Ogolonto and Agric areas of Ikorodu after operatives received intelligence during the patrol.
According to the police, a search of the suspect led to the recovery of a rubber-made pistol, an axe, suspected criminal charms and an illicit drug popularly known as “Ice”.

The Command said Olatunbosun remains in police custody and is assisting investigators with ongoing inquiries, while efforts are ongoing to arrest other alleged members of his cult group.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Tijani Fatai, commended the operatives for their vigilance and prompt response to information.
Fatai reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to sustaining intelligence-led operations against cultism and other forms of criminality across the state.
He also urged residents to continue providing timely and credible information to the police through the Command’s emergency lines.
