Britain’s anti-immigration Reform UK party faced a new scandal on Thursday after an undercover investigation filmed party councillors and candidates making offensive racial slurs.
Excerpts from ITV News’s forthcoming 90-minute documentary, “Undercover: A Year in Reform,” captured members using dehumanising language toward Black children and describing local Asian families as parasites.
The investigative broadcast tracked Reform UK activists and elected representatives during local elections in May and across four by-election campaigns in 2025 and 2026.

Responding to the excerpts, a Reform UK spokesperson stated that the leadership has launched investigations, suspended certain individuals, and initiated formal disciplinary procedures.

The spokesperson emphasised that while the party has tightened its vetting procedures, a small number of individuals who do not reflect its core values still manage to slip through.
They added that Reform UK maintains zero tolerance for racism within its ranks.
The revelations drew swift condemnation from political opponents, with Labour Party Chairwoman Bridget Phillipson describing the recorded remarks as extreme racism and calling on Reform leader Nigel Farage to take full accountability rather than dismissing the behaviour as isolated incidents.
The investigation adds to ongoing pressure on Farage, whose senior aides Dan Jukes and James Orr resigned last month following a Channel 4 News probe into party donation compliance, amid separate public scrutiny over Farage’s personal financial disclosures and recent shifts in national opinion polling.
