Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta confirmed Friday that winger Bukayo Saka will miss several weeks of action after sustaining a quad injury in a 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich.

The injury ruled Saka out of Thomas Tuchel’s latest England squad, though Arteta expressed optimism that the winger would resume pitch training after the upcoming international break.

Meanwhile, Arteta offered positive updates on defenders Ezri Konsa and William Saliba ahead of Saturday’s match against Hull.

Konsa recovered from a minor knock suffered during Wednesday’s 2-1 Champions League victory over Slavia Prague and remains fit to play.

Saliba returned to the matchday squad in Prague after recovering from a back injury, and Arteta confirmed he will not block Zinedine Zidane from selecting the French defender for international duty if requested.

Arsenal continue to hold the top spot in the Premier League while maintaining a strong presence in the national team setup.

Tuchel selected five Arsenal players—Ben White, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Eberechi Eze, Declan Rice, and Konsa—for the upcoming England fixtures.

Arteta highlighted the selection as a point of pride, noting that maintaining a solid English core remains a key part of the club’s identity.
