Nigeria’s emergency management agency has received six citizens returned from the United States, including five men and one woman, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, the agency said.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), in a statement on Sunday, said the returnees arrived at the airport’s cargo terminal at about 10:13 pm on November 4 aboard a Beechcraft 1900 aircraft.
The reception was coordinated by NEMA’s Lagos Operations Office in collaboration with the United States Consulate, the foreign ministry, the Nigeria Immigration Service and aviation company ExecuJet.
The six returnees were all adults, NEMA said.

Immigration officers documented and profiled the group upon arrival to establish their identities and complete the necessary records.
NEMA said it coordinated reception arrangements and provided post-arrival support to help the returnees settle after their arrival.
The agency described the exercise as part of government efforts to ensure the safe, orderly and dignified return of Nigerian citizens through cooperation with relevant agencies and international partners.
