The National Identification Number is a new system of Identification in Nigeria and it is a must-have. The Number is 11 digits, so it might not be likely you recall the digits.
With the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC)’s USSD service, you can now easily check or retrieve your National Identity Number (NIN) on your mobile phone.
To check your NIN Number for MTN, Glo, Airtel, or 9mobile network users, follow these steps:
- Dial the USSD code *346#.
- Choose option 1 to retrieve.
- Provide the required inputs as displayed on the screen
Note that this process only applies if the SIM card in the phone is the same one used for registration. And deducts a fee of Twenty Naira from your airtime balance.
