South Africa Announces Changes On Vaccination

The Department of Health in South Africa has announced adjustments to the vaccination program as part of ongoing efforts to increase the COVID-19 vaccine uptake in the country.

With effect from Wednesday, February 23, 2022, some of these adjustments include a reduction in the time period between Pfizer’s first and second doses from 42 to 21 days.

Citizens who have received both doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be eligible for a booster dosage 90 days following the second dose, rather than the existing 180 days.
