The Association of Amateur Football Clubs of Cameroon (ACFAC) demanded a formal investigation on Tuesday into the Cameroonian Football Federation and its president, former football star Samuel Eto’o, over corruption allegations.
Media reports allege that the Russian Football Union improperly transferred approximately €567,000 ($654,000) into a third-party bank account rather than FECAFOOT’s official account following an October 2023 friendly match between the two nations.
ACFAC announced plans to launch immediate legal proceedings against Eto’o in Cameroonian courts while filing a separate complaint in Russia against the Russian Football Union for contract violations.

The scandal comes shortly after Eto’o publicly defended FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who faces intense international pressure to resign over a controversial World Cup commercial deal.
