Algeria’s Sonatrach Plans to Launch First Offshore Drilling in 2023

Algeria’s state oil and gas producer Sonatrach plans to start its first offshore oil drilling in 2023, the state news agency disclosed on Sunday, citing deputy chairman in charge of strategy and planning, Rachid Zerdani.

Sonatrach Petroleum Corporation arranges the purchase and sale of Liquids and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) products and chartering. These operations are carried out by SPC BVI through its two branches based in Algiers and London.

Sonatrach is the largest oil and gas company in Algeria and in Africa. The company operates in exploration, production, pipeline transportation, transformation and marketing of hydrocarbons and by-products
