Barcelona have submitted an official €100 million offer to Atlético Madrid for forward Julián Álvarez, marking their first formal move for the Argentine striker.
The offer is said to be a straight cash deal with no add-ons or player swaps included. According to football journalist Fabrizio Romano, who reported on Friday, Atlético Madrid are unhappy with how the bid was made.

Reports also suggest that Álvarez has informed Atlético Madrid of his desire to move, which could accelerate negotiations. Atlético are now reviewing the offer internally and are expected to respond soon, though they are reluctant to lose a key player without securing a replacement.
“Atlético are now expected to review the proposal internally before responding,” sources said.
