BBNaija Introduces Gender-Based Team Challenge

Big Brother has introduced a new twist in the ongoing BBNaija Season 11, grouping housemates into male and female teams for selected tasks and competitions.

Announcing the development on Sunday, Biggie informed the contestants that the house would be divided into two groups—the ladies and the guys—for key challenges.

Under the new format, wager tasks, arena games and other competitions will be contested between the two teams, with housemates expected to work together to win rewards and secure victories.

The twist is expected to reshape the dynamics in the house, as contestants balance teamwork with individual strategies while navigating new rivalries and alliances.

BBNaija Season 11 premiered on Sunday, with host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu unveiling the first batch of housemates competing for the show’s record ₦160 million grand prize.

The contestants were introduced to viewers during the live launch show before taking part in brief interviews and entering Biggie’s house.

With the introduction of the gender-based team format, viewers will be watching closely to see how the new structure influences relationships, gameplay and competition as the season unfolds.
