China Donates Covid-19 Vaccines to Central African Republic

The Republic of China has donated a batch of COVID-19 vaccine to Central African Republic (CAR).

The Chinese Vaccine donation accompanied by the Chinese ambassador to CAR, Chen Dong was received by President Faustin-Archange Touadera and his Prime Minister Henri-Marie Dondra at Bangui Airport

Chinese ambassador to the CAR, Chen Dong disclosed that China and the CAR are working together, demonstrating a community of common destiny. The friendship between our two peoples has reflected once again in this donation of vaccine.

CAR Health Minister, Pierre Somse thanked China for being an example to follow in its effective fight against COVID-19, thus contributing to the world’s fight to defeat the pandemic. According to him, the vaccine donation which arrived at an opportune moment will make CAR to be better equipped in its combat against the coronavirus.

According to statistics from the World Health Organization (WHO), the CAR has so far reported 7,142 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 98 deaths.
