Dangote Refinery Slashes PMS, Diesel Prices

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the ex-depot prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, and Automotive Gas Oil (diesel), with the new rates taking effect from Thursday, August 6, 2026.

Under the revised pricing structure, the refinery lowered the ex-depot price of petrol to ₦1,165 per litre from ₦1,215 per litre, representing a reduction of ₦50 per litre.

The ex-depot price of diesel was also cut by ₦80 per litre, dropping from ₦1,650 to ₦1,570 per litre.

According to the refinery, the price adjustment reflects its commitment to making petroleum products more affordable, improving access to refined fuels and supporting economic activities across Nigeria.

The company said it remains committed to maintaining a stable supply of high-quality petroleum products while leveraging operational efficiencies to deliver greater value to consumers, businesses and other stakeholders.

Dangote Refinery added that it would continue to strengthen Nigeria’s energy security by reducing dependence on imported refined products and supporting the country’s economic development.

The refinery said it remains dedicated to passing the benefits of improved operational efficiency to consumers whenever market conditions permit, reaffirming its role in ensuring a reliable supply of world-class petroleum products across the Nigerian market.
