A large number of voters turned out on Saturday at Iheaka Central School in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area for the ongoing Enugu North Senatorial District by-election.
The polling unit, where the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Ikeje Asogwa, is registered to vote, witnessed a steady flow of electorates who arrived early to participate in the exercise.

According to Vanguard News, the process, however, encountered a temporary setback when the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) failed to capture Asogwa’s details despite repeated attempts by electoral officials.
Speaking after the incident, Asogwa expressed displeasure over the inability of the BVAS device to accredit him, describing the development as unacceptable.
Despite the challenge, the exercise remained peaceful, with election officials working to address the fault as voters continued to cast their ballots.
