Former Super Eagles striker Michael Eneramo has died during a football match in Kaduna State.
According to a report by SCORENigeria on Friday, April 24, 2026, Eneramo reportedly slumped and died while playing a football match.
The ex-Super Eagles striker was featured at the Angwan Yelwa pitch in the Television area of Kaduna when the incident happened. He joined the game as a substitute in the second half before collapsing without any contact.

An eyewitness said, “He slumped and died right on the spot. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.”
The 40-year-old, who retired from professional football, has played for several clubs, such as Besiktas of Turkey, Tunisian side Esperance, and Nigerian club Lobi Stars.
Following the news of the ex-Super Eagles striker’s death, the official Super Eagles X (formerly Twitter) mourned the former striker on Friday, April 24, 2026, posting his picture with the caption, “Rest in peace, Michael.”
