Idriss Deby’s Son,General Mahamat, Named Chad’s Interim Head of State

General Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno has replaced his father, Idriss Deby Itno, as the head of Chad’s Military Council.

The army made an announcement on Tuesday in a radio broadcast that the four-star general will replace his father.

Army spokesman, General Azem Bermandoa Agouna, disclosed that a military council has been set up headed by General Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno.
