Action Alliance National Chairman Kenneth Udeze expressed strong scepticism regarding the credibility of the upcoming 2027 general elections, accusing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of showing bias and disobeying court judgments.

Speaking at the National Chairmen’s Dialogue organised by News Central TV on Thursday, Udeze openly challenged the commission’s leadership, alleging that electoral officials consistently ignore the rule of law.

Udeze specifically criticised INEC Chairman Professor Joash Amupitan, arguing that a professor of law should uphold legal integrity rather than disregard appellate court rulings.

He noted that appellate courts have repeatedly affirmed his position as the legitimate national chairman of the Action Alliance since July, yet the electoral body has refused to recognise the decisions.

“If a professor of law cannot obey court judgement, how do you expect that Nigerians should trust that the 2027 election will be free?” Udeze questioned.

The party leader warned that electoral failure remains inevitable as long as the umpire operates from a biased standpoint.

Pointing out the commission’s refusal to align with legal processes, Udeze questioned how citizens can expect a successful election under the current management.

“We cannot talk about getting election rights when the umpire, INEC, seems to be working from a biased point of view,” Udeze stated, adding that the Action Alliance challenges the commission to prove its commitment to the rule of law.
