A House of Representatives committee investigating the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC) declared the appointment letter of self-acclaimed Director-General Adeniyi Adeyemi fake on Wednesday.
Panel Chairman Yusuf Gagdi announced the finding in Abuja, citing confirmation from the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, that Adeyemi forged both his appointment letter and council documentation.
Adeyemi failed to appear at the hearing despite a 48-hour police summons issued by lawmakers following allegations of serious administrative breaches.

Senior police officials represented the Inspector-General of Police as the panel moved to determine how the fake executive secured official government recognition and processed state correspondence.
