Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe secured his place in football history on Saturday by becoming the all-time top scorer in World Cup history.

The French forward netted his second goal of the match during the third-place play-off against England, bringing his historic career tournament tally to 22 goals.

Mbappe amassed this record-breaking total across appearances in three separate World Cup tournaments.
