News Central welcomed a delegation from the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) as both organisations explored opportunities for collaboration ahead of the 32nd Nigerian Economic Summit.

The delegation was led by Mojisola Saka, Chief Engagement and Experience Officer at Boucles Africa, alongside Ayanyinka Ayanlowo, Team Lead, Strategic Communications at NESG. Discussions centred on the role of partnerships in deepening public engagement around some of Nigeria’s most pressing economic and development issues.

Scheduled for October 26 and 27, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja, the 32nd Nigerian Economic Summit will be held under the theme: Growth That Works. This year’s summit will focus on five broad pillars: Work Nigeria, Produce Nigeria, Invest Nigeria, Secure Nigeria, and Grow Nigeria, creating space for conversations around the country’s economic future and practical pathways for sustainable development.

Speaking during the meeting, News Central’s Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief, Kayode Akintemi, welcomed the engagement and emphasised the need for national conversations to move beyond diagnosis and towards solutions that improve the lives of ordinary Nigerians.

He encouraged the NESG team to continue championing issues of security and quality of life, noting that these subjects deserve sustained public attention and meaningful action beyond conference halls and fireside discussions.

The meeting also reflected a shared understanding that media and policy institutions play an important role in connecting ideas with citizens and ensuring that conversations about growth remain relevant to everyday realities.

As News Central continues to expand its focus on developmental journalism and public interest reporting, the organisation remains committed to providing a platform for discussions that inform, challenge perspectives, and contribute to national progress.
