The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has said that flights scheduled to destinations in the Middle East from Nigerian airports, including Emirates and Qatar Airways, have been cancelled or delayed.

FAAN, in a statement posted on its official X account on Saturday, said the cancellation and delay were due to ongoing airspace closures in parts of the Middle East, which are currently affecting flight operations to and from the region.

Passengers impacted by the disruptions were advised to contact their airlines directly for updated flight information, rebooking options, and guidance.

FAAN noted that it is closely monitoring the situation in collaboration with aviation authorities and airline operators and will provide updates as necessary.

“We regret the inconvenience and appreciate the understanding and cooperation of the travelling public,” the statement added.
