Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Saturday that Moscow has not yet received a formal proposal from Ukraine regarding the significant prisoner exchange recently announced by U.S. President Donald Trump.

Despite the public nature of the plan, which suggests a large-scale humanitarian swap between the two warring nations, Putin indicated that the specific logistics and terms have not been communicated through official channels.

Speaking to reporters, Putin expressed that Russia is waiting for the Ukrainian government to act on the framework presented by the United States.

He noted that while the Kremlin is prepared to engage with the suggestion made by President Trump, the process remains at a standstill until a direct response or formal offer is initiated by the authorities in Kyiv.
