Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has urged residents to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), describing them as important tools for supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu.
Oborevwori made the call while speaking at the commissioning of Delta Infrastructure: Oghareki Model Technical College in Oghara, Delta State, on Friday. He said residents should use their PVCs to demonstrate their support for the party and the President before the 2027 elections.
The governor also said his support for Tinubu’s administration was deliberate, adding that he had consulted key political leaders before publicly declaring his position. Oborevwori said he had made it clear that the President’s projects were also his priorities, stressing that his decision reflected consultations with political leaders, including former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

The governor also defended his administration’s infrastructure record, saying several completed projects had yet to be officially commissioned.
According to him, some projects had been completed for months and were already available for public use. He cited a road project spanning more than 20 kilometres and involving over 15 bridges, which he said had been completed more than three months earlier.
Oborevwori urged residents to assess his administration through its achievements, particularly in infrastructure and development.
“Delta State is one of the fastest developing states in Nigeria,” he said, adding that the state had maintained an upward economic and infrastructure trajectory since his administration took office.
He said the commissioning of completed projects reflected his government’s focus on development and delivering infrastructure to residents.
