The Ogun State Police Command has launched a manhunt for a man identified as Kola following a report of alleged sexual assault involving a 17-year-old boy.
The Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, ordered the immediate manhunt after the teenager, accompanied by his parents, reported the case at the Adigbe Police Division at about 5 pm on September 8, 2026.
According to the police, the teenager alleged that Kola sexually assaulted him on three occasions in January 2026 and threatened him into silence.
The command’s spokesperson, Oluseyi Babaseyi, said in a statement issued on Wednesday that the teenager was taken to a hospital in the Adigbe area for medical examination, while detectives began an investigation.

The command said the suspect is currently at large, adding that Ojajuni had directed detectives to intensify efforts to locate and arrest him.
It stressed that the alleged assault only came to the attention of the police after the teenager and his parents formally reported the matter on September 8.
“The allegation is receiving urgent, professional and sensitive investigation,” the command said, while reiterating its commitment to protecting children and vulnerable persons.
The police did not disclose further details about the alleged assaults or the medical examination.
