Olatunji Emmanuel Okedeyi has launched a 12,200-kilometre bike journey to raise awareness and funds for polio vaccines and support for people living with polio.
The ride began in the United Kingdom (UK) and will take him through several countries, including France, Spain, Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo and Benin, before ending in Lagos on July 7.

His goal is to raise £100,000 for global polio eradication and to keep Nigeria polio-free. For every kilometre he rides, £10 will be donated, with all proceeds going toward polio vaccines and support initiatives. A formal handover of the funds raised is expected to happen on August 1.
The campaign hopes to draw global attention to the fight against polio while encouraging support for vaccination programmes across Africa.
